PROBLEM- Why won't my RCM function correctly or consistantly?
SOLUTION- Correct function of the RCM requires that the RF (radio) path from your location to the system and back to you is VERY clear and solid. If there is any 'corruption' of the signal, you can experience issues, especially with the RCM modules. One way to determine if there is a problem with the signal path is to look at the GenWatch3 System Summary Screen. On that screen, the top 3 lines deal with Packet information. One of the lines (the third from the top) shows Corrupt Packet Percentage. If this is anything other than 0.0, you might have problems. To correct the Packet Corruption problem, you may need to look at the antenna placement, coax, connectors, etc. Anything that would cause the RF-modems to decrease their ability to receive or transmit to the control channel will not allow GenWatch3 to operate correctly.
